About Carol Cartwright

I lived in Iowa all my life until moving to Salida, Colorado, in January,2004. My life in Iowa taught me the value of an education. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education from the University of Iowa and a Masters and Specialist degrees in education from Drake University. In the summer of 1998 I graduated from the Rocky Mountain School of Photography (RMSP) Summer Intensive Program in Missoula, Montana. In September 2003 I graduated from the Digital Intensive photography course at RMSP. I continue to participate in photography workshops throughout the United States taught by nationally known instructors.

My photography is of the best quality from beginning to end: Some of my images are captured with Canon 35 SLR camera equipment and lenses and Fuji transparency film. Since April 2005 I capture images using a Canon 20D digital camera. I rarely uses digital manipulation as I strive to capture images of the world where there are naturally so many vibrant colors, excitement, and endless compositional elements. I use quality labs for processing my images as traditional photographic images on archival papers or as giclee's on canvas, which are UV protected, water resistant, and archival.

My photographic images can also be found in The Sourcebook for Architectural and Interior Art 19 and The Artful Home, 2005. I have had 15 solo exhibits and have been an exhibitor at local, state, and national exhibits. Recent articles about my work can be found in February 2, 2006, issue of The Chaffee County Times and the June 2005 issue of Colorado Central.

My photographic images have been sold to private collectors, designers, and interior decorators. Some editions are limited to 250 and the giclee's on canvas come with a letter of authenticity. Images can be purchased in various sizes.
